Well, I can’t ignore it much longer. I am no longer a student.

I handed in my final project almost a month ago, and am now preparing for my graduate exhibition. And what comes after then? At this stage, who knows.

I have been building myself a website, which I can use to display my CV and portfolio, and as it seems a little pointless to have a blog about being a fashion student, I will now use the blog I have linked to my website rather than this one.

The gorgeous draping from Lanvin, creating effortless glamour. And the great denim, and casual utility styling of Acne.

I didn’t pay as much attention to the SS10 shows as I should have done in September, the stress of returning to uni after a year out was taking up all of my brain power. Clearly this was a mistake.

E.Stott and I were walking down Bond St today and were totally taken aback by how amazing the outfits in the Jil Sander window was. We literally stopped in our tracks when we noticed these:

Lazer cutting is all the rage at the moment (especially, it seems, among students), but this is how to do it properly.

Then we noticed these:

Those soles! That edging! Those heels!

And then, while the outfits themselves were beautiful it was the frayed edging that really caught our eye. Not overly frayed, but just enough to give a simple jacket an edge.

Amazing. I love.

I made a fantastically chilled out playlist last week, to get me through the long hours of uni work. Lots of great, calming acoustic music, steering clear of anything too morose. Spirits need to be kept up!

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted, so I should update.

I am currently battling through my final year of my degree and working part time at Aquascutum.

Did a little comp shopping on Sunday between my LFW commitments and spotted this arrangement several times in Zara…

I get the idea. And its a nice one. The customer can just reach out and grab the whole outfit. Except most people won’t want to do that and so, it looks such a mess!

Unless you’re a small shop where an assistant can re-tidy the display after each customer moves an item, then I just don’t think this can work.
